2025 Feb - Attending the Keystone TB Symposium 2025 in Boston: Chuangqi gave a talk about the signature definition of TB progressor; Jo and Nannan presented our posters there.

2025 Feb - Welcome Shuozhi to join the lab as the Research Assitant for 6 months. He will lead the multi-omics integration to investigate the TB progression.

2024 December- Chuangqi gave a short talk titled “Temporal Immune Correlates of Protection in IV-BCG dose study” in 2024 IMPAc-TB annual meeting last week in NIH.

2024 December- Glad to announce that as the co-author, the paper titled “Humoral correlates of protection against Mycobacterium tuberculosis following intravenous BCG vaccination in rhesus macaques” was published in iScience.

2024 December- Congratulations on Nannan receiving a Keystone Symposia Future of Science Fund Scholarship to support her attendance at Tuberculosis: Heterogeneity from Experimental Models to Human Disease next Feb. in Boston, MA.

2024 November- Glad to share that Jo and Nannan’s abstracts were both accepted by TB keystone Somposia 2025, held in Boston next Feb.

2024 November- Glad to announce that as the co-author, the paper titled “Markov field network model of multi-modal data predicts effects of immune system perturbations on intravenous BCG vaccination in macaques” was published in Cell Systems.

2024 September- Our paper “Interpretable Fine-Grained Phenotypes of Subcellular Dynamics via Unsupervised Deep Learning is finally online here. Feel free to reach out if any parts are interested!

204 September- The new class “Omic Data Analysis” has been launched this fall, specifically designed for students with limited computational backgrounds. This course mainly focuses on multivariate data analysis and applied Machine Learning techniques.

2024 August- Welcome Ziwei Tian from Biostatistics and Bioinformatics Program, to join the lab as the Research Assistant.

2024 August- Glad to announce that our manuscript“Interpretable Fine-Grained Phenotypes of Subcellular Dynamics via Unsupervised Deep Learning” was accepted in Advanced Science. Online version will come soon!

2024 June - Glad to announce that as the co-author, the paper titled “Deep Learning-Based Automated Analysis of NK Cell Cytotoxicity in Single Cancer Cell Arrays” was published in BioChip Journal.

2024 June - Chuangqi was invited to join the CTVD meeting at Gates Foundation as an Early Career Researcher and gave a short talk titled as “Immune Correlates of Protection in IV-BCG dose study: pre-existing and BCG-activated immune responses”. Always glad to meet our collaborators in person and discuss the research progress with other PIs.

2024 May - Chuangqi gave a short seminar introducing the “Systems Immunology” career path titled “When Biology/Medicine Meet the Computer Science” at the 2nd annual Career Day in the Aurora Science & Tech High School, DSST.

2024 May - I am glad to share that our proposal “Machine Learning Assisted HTP Tissue Array” by CO CVD Team (Dr. Wei Tan from CU Boulder and our Lab) was awarded by the Complement-Animal Research in Experimentation (Complement-ARIE) Challenge Competition, NIH.

2024 Arp -Our TB progressor paper is out in Nature Microbiology. We are also invited to write a blog published in Behind the paper channel, SPEINGER Nature Research Communities.

2024 Mar - Chuangqi attended the Keystone TB: Host-Pathogen Interface symposium last week and gave a poster presentation about the longitudinal analysis of immune propagation activated by the ivBCG vaccine across blood-lung compartments in NHPs.

2024 Mar - Chuangqi gave a talk in the Seminar of Our Department, titled “Systems Immunology: Unraveling the Immune Response to Infection”.

2024 Mar - Glad to share that Chuangqi gets a new affiliation, as a secondary faculty member, in the Department of Biomedical Informatics, starting on Mar. 15th.

2024 Feb - We received a Pilot Grant award from the Center for Mucosal Immunology and Rheumatic Disease Pathogenesis (CMIR), School of Medicine. This pilot grant will focus on investigating the EBV effects on RA progression by deeply profiling the humoral immune response of EBV and RA autoantibodies using a systems serology platform.

2023 Nov - Chuangqi attended the IMPAcTB annual meeting in NIH and gave a talk “Human Demographic and Biologic Axes Modulate Immune Responses to Mtb and their Association with Protectionwith Katy Bowman from Sarah Fortune Lab.

2023 Sep - We got additional funding from the IMPAcTB project (Accelerating Analysis Section).

2023 Sep - Chuangqi joined the 22nd Annual Colorado Immunology & Microbiology Conference at Steamboat Springs, CU.

2023 Apr - Our paper “Deep cross-modal feature learning applied to predicted acutely decompensated heart failure using in-home collected electrocardiography and transthoracic bioimpedance” was published in Artificial Intelligence in Medicine. Excited!!!
